Shortly after the tragedy in Newtown, Dr. Baroody formed NewArts to strengthen children in the community by teaching life-skills through high level performing arts activities. In the summer of 2014, they developed an original Shakespeare musical, with both local talent and Broadway-level members, in order to challenge the young participants. The Documentary Group followed NewArts that summer; and with co-producers Vulcan Inc and Participant Media, they were chosen for the Spotlight Selection in the 2016 Tribeca Film Festival.
